ESG outcomes
The recovered energy is the smaller half of the value.
A building that can show instrumented, independently verifiable energy data is worth more than one that cannot — in certification, in financing spread, in tenant retention and in the assurance opinion its owner will soon need.

Environmental
- 206 tCO₂e a year removed from the owner's Scope 2 inventory, and from every tenant's Scope 3.
- Heat that would have gone to a cooling tower does useful work instead, cutting both rejection duty and makeup water.
- Energy intensity falls, improving the building's position under EECA energy intensity labelling.
- Hydraulic recovery arrives attached to greywater reuse — the water saving and the energy saving are delivered by the same capital project.

S
Social
- Lower common-area electricity holds service charges down — the single most contested line in any Malaysian JMB or management corporation budget.
- Battery storage gives the tower ride-through for lifts, lighting and pumps during supply interruptions, which matters most on the upper floors.
- Hot water at a lower operating cost for residents, with no change to delivered temperature or comfort.
- Commissioning, monitoring and maintenance work is performed by local competent persons and creates skilled roles on site.

Governance
- Half-hourly, revenue-grade data against a declared IPMVP baseline — the difference between a disclosure that survives assurance and one that does not.
- Recovery is metered at source, so the claim is traceable to an instrument rather than to a spreadsheet.
- Emission factors, boundaries and assumptions are versioned and restatable, which is what auditors test first.
- Qualifies the asset for GITA and GTFS documentation, and supplies the performance evidence that sustainability-linked facilities require at each observation date.
